First Round of Abstract Submission: March 25, 2025
The
global renewable energy market size was estimated at US$ 970 billion in 2022
and is expected to hit over US$ 2182.99 billion by 2032 with a registered CAGR
of 8.50% from 2023 to 2032, growing at a CAGR of 9.47% during the forecast
period (2024–2032). Renewable energy, even referred as clean energy, is usually
derived from natural sources that are constantly replenished. Wind energy, a
type of renewable energy, is used to generate electric energy from kinetic
energy sources. A wind turbine converts the wind energy into mechanical energy,
which is further converted into electrical energy through the generator. Wind
energy can be generated offshore and onshore. Onshore wind energy is associated
with onshore turbines that are located on land, whereas offshore wind turbines
are found in the ocean or sea.
Under
the Renewable Energy Directive, the EU has increased its 2030 renewable target
from 32% to 42.5%. Norway come out on the top with 75.8%, and Sweden was
the EU country that used the most renewable energy in 2022, the Eurostat report
found. Nearly two-thirds of its gross final energy consumption was derived from
renewable sources
Asia-Pacific is the
most significant global market shareholder and is anticipated to grow at a CAGR
of 8.10% during the forecast period. Asia-Pacific is one of the largest markets
for renewable energy in the world.
North America is
expected to grow at a CAGR of 8.79% over the forecast period. The demand for
electricity in the region is expected to keep growing during the forecast
period, owing to economic growth. In 2015, 20% of North America's electricity
was generated from renewables, which is expected to reach 29% by 2025.
Regions that are leading the Renewable and Sustainable Energy Market are North America (USA, Canada, and Colombia), Europe (UK, France, Italy, Norway, Iceland, Sweden, Denmark, Brazil, Austria, and Finland) Asia Pacific (China, India, New Zealand, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Australia and Taiwan) Latin America (Brazil, Mexico, Chile and Argentina) and Middle East & Africa (GCC North Africa, South Africa and Rest of the Middle East & Africa) and rest of the world.
